Washtag

Hang tags may seem like harmless pieces of paper, but these single-use items contribute to the billions of tonnes of waste generated each year by the fashion industry. 

 

The Washtag was created as a complete hang tag replacement that can wash up to 0.6kg of clothes during the first wash. The innovation garnered an outpouring of support from the public and the media, and is now being used by Philippine retail brands including fashion giant Bench.

 

The project was shortlisted in Cannes Lions and LIA, and won the Green pencil in One Show along with a Bronze Pencil. Other awards include a Bronze Bencil from Australian AWARD Awards, Silver and two Crystals in MadStars, and Gold in Kidlat.
